Kyra Minturn

Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born August 19th 1965. She is an American actor and producer. Her starring role on the crime drama TNT The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick received an award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson. Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her portrayal of Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her performance. Following the seventh season Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award in 2007 as well as an Emmy Award in the year 2010. The show ended on August 13th, 2012. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in the show in the role of Madeline Wuntch on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick was nominated for the Golden Globe for her role in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born to the Fourth of July (1989) as well as Cameron Crowe's solos (1992), Heart and Souls(93), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter of Patricia Rosenwald, an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII, a speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was Episcopalian of English descent. Sedgwick has stated that she is Jewish and is a part of Passover meal times.
